what we do

Voyager Guides is more than an eco tour company.

We are a (sea)grass roots, living conduit between people, place, and planet — connecting communities to the ecosystems they rely on and the research working to protect them. Through immersive, guided experiences and accessible open-access tools/research, we help you see what’s at stake, feel what's possible, and take action.

We offer not just experiences, but action, not just insight, but connection — not just fun facts, but ways to belong to these waterways that we treasure and the future we’re building together.

Our Mission

To take people sailing. To illuminate and protect the living systems that sustain us — by guiding people into deeper relationships with the natural world, supporting frontline science, and nurturing communities of care and action.

We believe that when people experience a place fully, with the wind to guide them — its fragility, beauty, and power — they become stewards, storytellers, and defenders.

Our mission is to catalyze existing curiosity.

"Voyager Guides helps people fall in love with the Tampa Bay in all her complexity — and then shows them how to protect what they love."

What We’ve Achieved

  • Created immersive coastal science experiences for hundreds of families, educators, and students.

  • Supported active research on marine ecosystems and climate resilience across multiple regions.

  • Built partnerships with local scientists, Indigenous knowledge holders, and conservation groups.

  • Designed tools for communities to map, monitor, and protect vulnerable ecosystems.

  • Engaged thousands through digital storytelling, workshops, and place-based learning.

  • Sparked intergenerational learning and activism, from grandparents to grandchildren.

  • Piloted a framework for science-guided tourism that centers ecosystems, not ego.

  • Helped participants turn awe into advocacy, and data into decisions.
